Playing around with colour

I've been inspired this week by the photographs of Maria Svarbova and her book "Swimming Pool". She uses a gorgeous palette of soft pastel blues and turquoises with contrasting highly saturated red swimsuits and swim hats. It's got me interested in playing around with colour so I dug out an old family photo and had a look at altering the colouring to create different effects.

Sadly no bright red swimsuit in the original photo so just for fun I switched the colour of the swimming trunks for the last photo!
