Such a happy morning spent photographing this lovely family in preparation for the launch of the new family life photo service. The girls Emily and Amelia were so cute - it's obvious little Emily adores her big sister!
Amelia's mum warned me in advance that she can be a little shy sometimes; in situations like that I find it best to get down to their level, sit on the floor, maybe ask a few gentle questions but to try not to 'overwhelm' the child with over-friendliness! It is more effective to blend into the background as much as possible, and let the child approach you when they are ready. The shyness never lasts long!
