I love how varied this job can be, it keeps me on my toes! This weekend I was in London for two very different assignments. I spent the first day shooting guests for a milestone birthday party, documentary style, and the following day in an all-white studio shooting fashion, both webshop and campaign images. We were on a tight schedule but had a great team of professionals that meant we got all the styles done in time.
The studio was so interesting - a small white warehouse space tucked into a corner of Hackney Wick with doors and stairs off everywhere, out of which popped the occasional artist or Air B'nB-er. I was fascinated by the house plants everywhere, and quizzed the owner incessantly about caring for them (my plants tend to die after a few months, it's only my cheese plant that is indestructible in my house!). Needless to say, they take a lot of work, but all that gorgeous greenery was perfect for the 'jungle look' we wanted in the campaign images.
So this week I will mostly be editing images! Here is a snapshot of some of the webshop images - clean, uniform, showing the detail in the clothes. Campaign shots coming later.
