Our Privacy Notice

As a parent and regular internet user myself, I understand how important privacy is to my clients. It is vital to maintaining trust and confidence in my photographic services, and as such, I would never sell or pass on any contact information to third parties.

For your peace of mind, this privacy notice explains why I need to collect certain information and what I do with it.

A note about Google Analytics

When someone visits www.tamsindavisphotography.com I use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. This is to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information helps me make the site more efficient and is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. The identities of those visiting the website are not disclosed, and Google is not allowed to make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting the website either.

The information I need to gather

As part of the booking process for my photographic services, I have to collect some personal information. I use that information for several reasons: to provide a better tailored service to you, as each family and project are unique; to give you more information about the service you’ve asked about; to contact you if I need to obtain or provide additional information; and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. As I’ve said before, I don't sell or trade email lists with any other organisation.

The mailing list

On the form is an option to sign up to my mailing list because occasionally I like to contact clients about special offers or events they may be interested in. I don’t do this very regularly, and even if you do sign up and then decide you’d rather not get the emails, just contact me at info@tamsindavisphotography.com and I’ll take your email address off the mailing list.

Where is the information kept?

I transfer the info onto a password-protected spreadsheet that is stored on my computer (also password protected) and has up to date anti-virus software installed. A copy is backed up on an external hard drive and kept in a locked cupboard (mainly so that my children don’t get their sticky fingers on it!). Digital files from the photography session are also stored in this way.

The email questionnaires that clients send me are printed off in the old-fashioned way and stored in said locked cupboard so that I can then delete the email afterwards.

Photos and how they are used

My business is taking beautiful pictures and the best form of advertising is by showing them to other people (or even better, having my clients show other people!). I am proud of the photos I take and love to share them on my Facebook and Instagram pages, and on my website www.tamsindavisphotography.com.

However, as a parent myself, I fully understand that some people are uncomfortable with their pictures being online. That is why I will never share your images online without your express consent first.

Any amendments…

You are of course entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that I hold - just email your request to myself (Tamsin) at info@tamsindavisphotography.com.
