A break from the norm and a trip to London to celebrate my Mum's birthday. We met up in Piccadilly's Waterstones for a coffee then walked through Piccadilly Circus (which is looking more and more like Times Square) to see The Book of Mormon at the theatre, a brilliant and hilarious musical about two young Mormons setting off to Uganda to convert the locals. I have no idea how the creators of South Park pitched their premise to the financiers, let alone got the crazy idea for a Broadway musical signed off, but the result is just brilliant: very funny (with jokes far too close to the bone for easy laughing at times), catchy songs and winning characters - I can't recommend it enough. Happy birthday Mum - looking younger than ever!
