As part of the studio portraits for the Tiny Talkers in their festive outfits, I also captured some action shots for Abbie to use to promote her business.
Whilst the originals are bright and colourful and useful for attracting new customers, my personal preference is for black and white when there are a lot of primary colours in an image. Sometimes a lot of colour can be a distraction when capturing reportage-style photos; removing colour can focus the attention on the subject and creates a more intimate relationship between viewer and subject.
